
Dr. Sartajvir Singh an accomplished academician and researcher at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar, India, specializing in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He is a digital image analyst with expertise in remote sensing and earned his PhD in Electronics & Communication Engineering. He is practicing as Registered Patent (IN/PA 5806), Trade Mark (TMA 34156) and other Intellectual Property (IP) professional. He is also DGCA approved commercial Drone Operator (RPC/34231626V91SD). So far, he has filed 75 innovations/patents at the Indian Patent Office (IPO) with 35 Granted/Awarded. With expertise in the filed of Remote Sensing, Computing Algorithms, and Electronics, he has published 100 in SCI/Scopus Index Journals. An active IEEE member, he engages with IEEE Young Professionals, IEEE GRSS, IEEE Sensors, AGU, EGU, HG, ISTE and ISPRS. His research focuses on Remote Sensing, Automation, AI/ML and Computer Vision. He has served as a keynote speaker and resource person for numerous workshops and webinars. He also edited 2 conference proceedings, 10 books with publishers like Springer, Wiley, De Gruyter, Bentham, Elsevier, CRC, and Apple Academic Press.
Dr. Gurwinder Singh
Gurwinder Singh obtained his BA in Computer Applications, MCA, M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Punjabi University, India, in 2011, 2014, 2016, and 2023, respectively. He began his career in 2014 by joining Creative-i Technologies Education and Development Centre in India. In 2015, he moved to Jasdev Singh Sandhu Degree College as a member of the Department of Computer Science, and in 2016, he joined the Department of Computer Science at Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College, Shri Anandpur Sahib. In 2017, he became part of the Department of Computer Science at Punjabi University. By 2022, he was working at the University Institute of Computing, Chandigarh University. In 2023, he became Head of the Department of Computer Science at the School of Sciences, Noida International University. Since 2024, he has been with the Department of Computer Applications at the Chandigarh School of Business, Division of Research & Innovation, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, Mohali, Punjab, India. He serves as the Coordinator for CGCJ, collaborating with IIRS/ISRO, Dehradun. Singh has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Young Scientist ITS Fellow from SERB-DST, Athens, Greece, Sahitya Shiromani National Award-2024, Higher Education and Research Center, Delhi, the Young Scientist Award at the 11th National Conference on RACES-2023 at Multani Mal Modi College, and the Best Patent Idea Presentation Award at Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh. He has also received several Best Publication Awards at various conferences. His research interests include remote sensing, digital image processing (with a focus on agricultural land use classification), machine learning, deep learning and Computer Vision. Singh is a member of prestigious organizations such as IEEE, ISPRS, and ISRS.
